The Norbertine Community of Santa María de la Vid Abbey hosts Art at the Abbey’s Puentes de Compasión: Reaching For Hope, an exhibition of works from diverse artists exploring the common dignity that binds us together as we seek to come together in the midst of a world marred by division, suffering, and darkness. All are invited to join us at the Abbey (5825 Coors Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121) on Saturday, November 17 between 1:00-5:00pm for an “open house”-style opening. Experience bridges crossed in hope toward compassion and grace through the visual artworks displayed across our campus and live art performances. The official closing of the art exhibition will be on Thursday, December 20, 5:00-9:00pm with Posadas and Mass at 7:00pm. For more information or questions, contact email@example.com or (505) 873-4399 ext. 237.
A bridge in itself, Santa María de la Vid Abbey seeks to bring together people, perspectives, and beliefs through the arts, encounter, and prayer. This is Art at the Abbey’s third annual art exhibition. This art exhibition is part of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe’s efforts within Pope Francis’ two-year campaign, Share the Journey.
“To build bridges… Do you know the first bridge that has to be built? It is a bridge that we can build here and now – by reaching out and taking each other’s hand.”
