LETTING OURSELVES BECOME STILL
Saturday, November 4, 2017, 9 A.M.-4 P.M.
In a world of 24-hour news, constantly shifting trends and values, and unrelenting noise, it can be very challenging to become quiet enough to hear and see what is really going on.
This meditative writing retreat offers an opportunity to listen to our inner life in particular, as well as to other “voices of wisdom” which may gift us with their presence.
By allowing ourselves to become still, we can reconnect with our deepest desires and our authentic self so that we might live more wholehearted and peaceful lives.

MEDITATIVE WRITING RETREATS
In the midst of our often overly-busy lives, we all need time and space to reconnect with our deepest selves. Doing so enables us to live our lives more creatively, compassionately and wholeheartedly.
In these retreats, we will engage in meditative writing practice as a means of exploring and celebrating the wisdom that is available within and around us. The beauty of this spiritual practice is that anyone can engage in it. One does not need to be a “writer” to benefit from this method.
Since symbolic language is used throughout the retreat to aid participants in the process of being present to their own lives in the moment, people from any or no particular faith background may feel supported in their journey.
The retreats are offered in a supportive, meditative atmosphere which honors the privacy, uniqueness, and significance of each person’s journey.

REGISTRATION
All retreats take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey in Our Lady of Guadalupe Commons building. Please plan to arrive at least ten minutes early to check in.
Lunch is included in the $55.00 offering per retreat. To register, please call 505-873-4399, or email your name & the name of the retreat you wish to attend to: RSVP@norbertinecommunity.org

ENGAGING LIFE’S MYSTERY
Saturday, December 9, 2017, 9 A.M.-4 P.M.
“The Mystery never leaves you,” says John O’Donohue. Yet sometimes we forget that there’s more to life than what we observe with our senses. Through imagination, receptivity, and attentive presence we can heighten our sensibility to this ever-present Mystery.
This day of meditative writing offers time and space to encounter and name this seemingly unnameable dimension of our lives.
