One young adult will also share their faith story. Our speaker this month is Jennifer Hernandez. Jennifer is a biology major and fourth year student at UNM, an Emmaus Journey Young Adult Mission core member, a parishioner, choir member, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and she volunteers at Presbyterian Hospital. College students and young adults (18-35) are especially encouraged to attend. All are welcome!
An Advent Meditative Writing Retreat with Meg Ashcroft
We have come to expect immediate connection when we use our phones, computers and other devices. Do we as easily realize our inseparable connection with the Holy One? In the season of Advent, we reflect on God’s deep desire to be in relationship with all of us which resulted in the divine becoming human in Jesus. We are given this gift that we might more fully appreciate that nothing can separate us from Love.
During this retreat day, we will have the opportunity to explore the all-embracing interconnectedness which gives meaning to our lives and our world.
All are welcome to participate and no writing experience is necessary.
Please register by Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

June 21– 7TH ANNIVERSARY
*In April, we will not have Taizé in the Desert as the third Friday of the month is Good Friday*
All are welcome to join us on the third Friday of each month at 7:00 PM. This is an ecumenical and interdenominational form of prayer. Taizé is a spirituality that is easy to experience and hard to describe. Invite your friends and family.
Thank you for continuing to join us for this evening of prayer through the style of Taizé!
How do we live as people of faith in a world where many choose to tear down, divide, and foster fear? As J. Philip Newell writes, “We may not know what the answers are, but we know that expressing our deepest longings for Presence and for connection is a key to the way forward.” This day of meditative writing is an opportunity to consider how we are being called—individually and collectively—to contribute to the healing of our world.
The offering for the retreat day is $55.00, which includes lunch. All are welcome to participate—no writing experience is necessary. Please register by Tuesday, Jan. 21
