How do we live as people of faith in a world where many choose to tear down, divide, and foster fear? As J. Philip Newell writes, “We may not know what the answers are, but we know that expressing our deepest longings for Presence and for connection is a key to the way forward.” This day of meditative writing is an opportunity to consider how we are being called—individually and collectively—to contribute to the healing of our world.
The offering for the retreat day is $55.00, which includes lunch. All are welcome to participate—no writing experience is necessary. Please register by Tuesday, Jan. 21

All are welcome to join us at Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey (5825 Coors Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121) on the third Friday of each month at 7:00 PM for this ecumenical and interdenominational form of prayer. Taizé is a spirituality that is easy to experience and hard to describe. Invite your friends and family.
Leave the noise of modern life behind! Build your relationship with Jesus Christ through song, scripture, silence and contemplation with other young adults and members of our community! Attend the next prayer service in the spirit of Taizé, a French monastic community.

During this time of social distancing and staying home (per the Governor’s extension of the Stay-At-Home order through May 15th as of 4/22 & the Archdioese’s continued closures), we invite you to join us for “Taizé in the Desert LIVE” from Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey on Friday, May 15th at 7:00pm. Stay home, tune in LIVE on Facebook or YouTube, and pray with us.

As we slowly invite people to pray with us again in the abbey church, we do so with a primary concern for everyone’s health.
The current guideline is 25% occupancy. This means we are only able to invite a mixture of individuals and couples to join the Norbertines at the Sunday Eucharist. In order to provide for six feet of social distancing the number of participants is seriously reduced.
If you are in good health and interested in celebrating the Feast of the Ascension this Sunday, please call 505-873-4399 and leave your name(s). and phone number. We will honor those who call first and respond to them. If you do not make the participant list this Sunday, we will add you to the list for succeeding Sundays.
The church and restrooms have been sanitized. We ask you to please bring masks and hand sanitizer anyone without a mask cannot participate. Please know that we continue to pray for the health of you and those you love.

*IMPORTANT* Due to limited space, we ask that you please do not attend this prayer service without RSVP’ing. If you are in good health and interested in participating in this prayer service, please email your name and how many people would be attending with you (if applicable) to cchavez@norbertinecommunity.org. We will respond to everyone regarding available space.
