Day 13: Spent the day with Fr Peter who took us to Amsterdam and embarked on a guided boat tour through the canals of the city taking in the sites, one of which was the house containing the secret annex of Anne Frank and her family.

Day 14: We departed from Amsterdam to our next destination, Rome! We checked into a hotel, had some wonderful pizza for dinner, and called it a day.

Day 15: After some breakfast, we visited the Colosseum. This was an amazing feat of architecture and was where we spent most of our day!

Day 16: This was the day we visited the Vatican. We were blessed to be able to pray at the tomb of St. John Paul II. Beneath the basilica was the Vatican Grottoes, which is the final resting place over 90 popes, a few monarchs, and other dignitaries, which date back to the 10th century (source: Vatican tours). Note: we did get to see the statues of St. Norbert. There is one inside St. Peter’s Basilica, as well as on the south colonnade in St. Peter’s square.
